Four airmen were killed when their Bolingbroke (#9906) aircraft crashed in a wheat field 13 miles south of the Lethbridge aerodrome. The Bolingbroke was on a test flight when it crashed and exploded.
The other Canadian airmen who perished in this accident were:-Corporal William Andrew NEWELL, ,Aircraftman 1st Class Harry Manning PATTISON and Leading Aircraftman Clarence Stanley WISE.
